I think there is debate to be had around what level of AI involvement does it become copyrightable. With more typical patents if something is too easily produced by another independently you can't patent it. For example supposed you made a sketch then colorized it with AI to generate a bunch of different color schemes to try, then selected one from the set and touched it up. I think most people would agree that is still a unique work of an artist.
