I used to drive that route at night because there was less traffic than other routes. Retired in '22 and there was already driverless trucks being tested for a few years. It's now '25 and it still looks to be years away maybe a decade? before it significantly replaces drivers. You have to remember the same thing was said about trains when planes took over rail travel.
