Has a Software developer..., I can say that the failures in facial recognition come from the datasets used to train the system.
Basically, these systems treats all Black men like one Ni××a. All these facial recognition software comes with a probability rating when comparing an image captured to another image in the database, so if they are using a limited dataset; all types of errors can occur.
