I just wrote a long ass crash out and it got deleted...anyway I'll go on a rant again because I could say this over and over and over and over. I've been tirelessly teaching myself art since I could hold a pencil HOLD A PENCIL, I've spent HOURS teaching myself things, too broke to afford any proper art classes I'm completely self taught (That doesn't mean anything, obviously, even if you take classes it's SUCH hard work) and that takes longer. Hours of teaching myself colour theory, history, anatomy, what to use, how to use it instead of going out, instead of homework, instead of anything and everything YEARS upon YEARS I've done this. Art is my passion, I love it, seriously I LOVE how someone can just pour their feelings, a whole story onto a page, I love everything about art, and it's not just the drawing kind either, art is a beautiful way of expression, but from now on I will be talking about drawing painting etc (digital too) It's so wonderful, truly, every stroke MEANS sometime, every stroke has a thought behind it, every stroke has a 'great I could do this next' I also love how it can change throughout, an original idea can get switched up mid drawing because of a feeling an artist has had, EVERY stroke means sometime, every colour used has a thought behind it. A picture with pretty colours isn't art, what makes art is what's behind it, that it means something, that there is a creativity behind it, that there is a love for creating behind it, that you can tell a person loves what they do when you look at a piece. Which is why AI art isn't real art, it never will be. Sure AI can create a pretty picture with pretty colours, but that doesn't make it art, there's no such thing as AI 'artists' you are NOT an artist, you are a lazy human who doesn't understand what ART truly is and only wants to be labelled an artist because they're jealous of our hard work. NO ONE can just be good at art when picking up a pencil. Sure, some have talent for certain things, but if two people pick up a pencil at the age of 5, one may be talented and the other not, if the non talented cares and practices and works and works and the talented one slacks off, at the age of 25 they will have surpassed the one born with a talent by MILES (Gosh darn half of it got deleted again I scrolled FUH) AI art will never be real art. NEVER Art is the passion behind a piece, that every single stroke means something, that there's at thought behind every single piece, that you can tell someone loves what they do by looking at their work, THATS Art, when there is years behind every technique, thought behind every colour placed, the fact that a piece can get changed halfway through slightly because of someone's changed feelings, THAT'S art, where you can see stories poured onto a page, meaning behind every line, a signature made with PRIDE because you finally finished a piece, not because you asked a computer to throw it on there, THAT'S ART, feeling PRIDE when someone compliments you, feeling fulfilled because YEARS of work are being complimented, HAPPINESS when someone understands what you mean with your art, but also happiness when watching thousands of people take it hundreds of different ways that correlate with THEIR story, because they can feel something when looking at that art, because they know it took so long because they KNOW there's a story, there's love there's TIME the artist spent and showed it to people, they can take that piece into their mind and craft their own story, relate to it, feel peace because of it. Again, AI might be a pretty picture to look at, but it will NEVER be art, never in a million years will these people who just want a title without working hard be called artists, because that title is earned. Creating art with the help of a soulless computer takes away EVERYTHING that art is from it, And that someone choses to give up and is mad at people who chose not to and generates pictures wants to call themselves an artist while chucking everyone else's hard work down to something incontrollable as 'being born with talent' is a total absolute *coward* That's NOT all I have to say
