I think the speed at which AI is growing is the concern. The structures and regulations cannot grow as fast as the tech, so a lot of chaos is happening.
AI issues all remind me of how the phone and the car pushed the pigeon and horse industries into niches. They aren’t gone, and the planet is faster for less animal exploitation.
Another part of me also remembers when professors were like “digital art? That will necer be as successful or artistically pure as pastels and a canvas”
I don’t want people to suffer, but i know change will always hurt and i dont wanna suffocate anyone trying to make art in a new medium either
