Lol, AI has hit the wall with performance due to lack of quality data to train. So now they just use prompts to patch up the gaps, but it becoming too complex and also affect performance and cost tremedous amount of calculating power. The current layoff are due to over saturated in this IT job market, outsourcing, and some with companies who thought AI can replace humans. Sure, you can reduce number of employees who code, but later on you will have to hire the same numbers or more to fix what AI wrote. Seniors relied on AI also found out that their coding skill also decrease and they ended up not using AI as much. The ones who do will see real problem soon.
