This is what us high school graduates (back in 2013 for me) yelled once we got out of school. “Why aren’t schools teaching us how real life will be?!” How to get our taxes done, what’s a 401k, what’s investing, how to save money, how can we build and manage our credit, how to get your credit started, how to open a savings account etc etc etc.
If I had known what I learned 5 years after high school, I think I would have been 10 years ahead of where I’m at now. Regardless of whether you went for higher education or straight into the labor force I think this would boost every single person from the get go.
But all any school is shooting for is pump the schools full of kids and secure funding. And on to the next generation.
