That's what happens when you unleash beta technology on humanity. When exactly did we allow the Teslafication of our lives? Being disruptive is all well and good, a driving force in Silicon Valley. But how many imploded submarines, how many car accidents and plane crashes do we have to see before we say that new technology that saves lives must be tested and that only what has been tested and helps people is good, instead of ignoring rules written in the past with blood ink?
I wouldn't even care if these self-appointed gods, some of whom will soon be sitting in government, didn't include other uninvolved parties in their beta test. Because it matters to me whether a Tesla crashes into my rear because someone thought that cameras were sufficient or someone is burning tax money so that an engine will eventually crash into my house roof. It just annoys me to be patronized by the rich in my sense of security and I thank the WSJ for putting a stop to these machinations.
