This certainly is something I agree with, and am pained by the belated pushback. It's something that needs doing, but is certainly of the category of 'Closing the stable door after the horse has bolted'. I'm fairly sure that some of these LLMs know that "fair use" is a weak stance, but "move fast and break things" is the mantra for any number of tech endeavors. They will continue to "scrape" for as long as they can.
