You are right on the point with why the AI start to be uninteresting on the moment you realize it's AI. I saw a lot of AI enthusiasts saying that pretty picture is just a pretty picture and that those who say it's a trash just from knowing it's AI are hypocrites but as non artists it's hard for them to realize that being fascinated by what human can do is not the same that being fascinated by what nature achieved by accident or what machine achieved by statistics... It's cool to find the easter eggs or small details in human made picture after attentive study, because a human thought and put those deliberately, but it's not that cool to find those in AI's one bc it as easy for machine as with bigger ones, just a random happening as with a backet of paint thrown on canvas.
