There is a whole lot of people indignant just to be irresponsible and to live on welfare systems ... not sure if the universal income as handouts is a the best choice ... instead, from the new wealth created using AI and robotics, if there would be systems created to sustainably provide basic life requirements affordably even by a minimal job earnings, that should be priority of govt research and action plan. Also, is the govts not researching this issue as a priority ? surely in military aspects they should be, but not on civil aspects seemingly ... problem is that these issues and goals are so alien to mass majority until they hit the society really hard and then some, so these are not even talking points or policy priorities for politicians even right now. so directing govts by people is not practical for another 1 or 2 elections at least.
