I've thought about this a lot recently.
My introduction came from Hololive of all things.
Sure it was a joke, and a hilarious one in the moment, but i don't feel great about it. Matter of fact, 3 days ago, i was walking to the store on a beer run and randomly thought about it, and shit. If we're really gonna mess with AI, we probably shouldn't do this.
Also, there is no difference to me now. Any creature that needs water, food, shelter, electricity, etc is deserving of respect as long as they have the cognizance or outwards capacity that qualifies them as "alive."
