To my understanding, one of the requirements is to be self acting. To my knowledge, no ai will act without a prompt. It doesn't think unless you engage it. I agree that there are many people i question if they are truly sentient, but even they are self acting, have thoughts without anyone promoting them, many times in spite of no one prompting them. Ai is by design trying to mimic and trick us into thinking they are people. Many are literally trained to do exactly this. That alone needs to be remembered when asking is ai sentient. Many of the things we think about are the ones they are trained to mimic, but the things we take for granted it's poor at mimicking. I imagine in a few years they will hardcode, acting without prompt and to think without prompt and then my quick check won't be effective
