Ted Kaczynski laid out the scenarios decades ago. If AI remains under human control it will be controlled by a tiny handful of elites and once we’re no longer needed for workers most likely we get eliminated. If the elites are ruthless they would exterminate us. If they are humane they would eliminate us slowly by reducing the birth rate. If the elites are soft hearted liberals they might keep us around like domesticated animals genetically altered with zero freedom. Only good option is to dump the whole system.
