In Las Vegas, the issue with Taxi’s, Uber and Lyft are they all drive aggressive because the faster they go the more money they make. At least the passenger can rate an Uber or Lyft driver so if they get hit with a lot of negative ratings it will affect their income. Taxis don’t get rated. You can always call the Taxi company but most passengers won’t do that. In my opinion if you would just have Robo Taxis in town auto insurance rates would drop because there would be less accidents. I just leased a Tesla and after 3 days I’m convinced the FSD drives safer than I do. Have had it out on the freeway several times. It has fully negotiated tricky exits in heavy traffic. The stress level from using FSD on a daily basis is amazing. Obviously you can still get in accidents because there are so many aggressive, crazy drivers here that take huge risks. Routinely running lights and stop signs. I think in 50 years every vehicle will be electric and all driving will be done autonomously. You won’t have a choice. AI is growing by leaps and bounds. A computer can beat the best chess player in the world.
