I mean, ok but this is overlooking less fanciful issues starting humanity down right now. Economic collapse partly triggered by the AI bubble more like it, resource shortages, war, civil unrest, climate change, anyone? I feel these sci fi scenarios are distraction from reality, cause we refuse to see what is actually happening
