We create our own suffering through corruption, jealousy, and greed. To demand that God intervene in every instance is to demand the removal of our free will. Instead, God allows the consequences of our actions to play out in this life to ensure that true justice is served in the next. Heaven and Hell exist because a fair judge does not interfere with the trial. He waits until all the evidence of our lives is in before rendering a final verdict.
