I've said it so many times now I sound like a broken record, but this debate about AI "stealing" art is so dumb. It's a new image. It's not stealing. It's something new. And an artist has hybris if they think they "own" a style. A bunch of people are already drawing in the same style so no, you don't own it. EDIT: Btw, if anyone wants to debate me on this topic come at me, because I was a part of the Swedish Pirate movement that started the entire Pirate wave throughout Europe, and I was "awakened" during the Pirate Bay trials in Sweden 2008-2009, so I believe in this with my whole heart. EDIT EDIT: How is it even a question that open source software is usable for commercial use? It's open source software! EDIT EDIT EDIT: An artists life is adapt or die. Only the artists with no purpose will take damage of this. Way way way back in the days they had monks who (by hand) copied books. Then the printing press came along. This was a threat to the monks so they banned the printing press in many parts of Europe. People said that the printing press would kill the industry, but obiously it didn't. Same happened with the library, a threat that would kill the industry (didn't), same happened with the radio, the ipod/mp3-player, the internet (piracy), e.t.c. People will always say that the new technology, whatever it is, is a threat and will kill the industry. The industry won't die. That's the truth. Will there be losers? Sure, but others will be winners. I've seen the same debate happen so many times, and I'm always right. I was right many years ago when internet piracy was the latest threat and I will be right now. History repeats itself. This is what has happened everytime for hundreds of years. This is no different.
