I think we'll either head straight into a dystopian future, where ai is used to create trillions of pounds for the very rich whilst the lower classes are left to die in slums, because they are no longer needed. Or there will be a big global event and capitalism fails due to high unemployment and general anger, from this we may get an almost utopia. Unfortunately whilst our society still lives in a world of money making above all else then we'll end up in a bad situation, the current economic models won't be able to sustain a huge workless population and there won't be an appetite to change without some major event.
