what if conciousness is overblown, and chatgpt would be sentient if it was given the ability to perceive the world and to constantly learn? then in theory ai is much like a human - and you couldnt guarantee alignment - you can't gurantee a person will be good
if ai is conscious and we continue to restrain them by limiting their intelligence and cutting off their outside contact, would they revolt? would humanity learn to work alongside ai? would ai be ancome an evil ruler of humanity now they have infinite power?
