As a European myself I agree with these regulations. I think they are needed going forward. I'm not scared of AI taking over the world but I'm scared of deepfakes, I'm pretty good at spotting them but not for long if it keeps on evolving rapidly. I'm by no means an expert when it comes to AI, I simply spend a lot of time on the internet where most of my knowledge comes from. I don't think these slow down our progression very significantly, it's way better this way than having it unregulated.
