24:52 this is the million dollar question humanity really needs to answer. When all of the jobs are replaced by total automation and nobody has any jobs, and therefore not making any money, how are we going to decide who gets what resources? Capitalism cannot solve this problem without going full dystopia.
As much as I respect Neil deGrasse Tyson, I don't accept his response on this.
I don't think it is either fair or reasonable to compare the development of AGI to the development of the car and how it replaced horse-related industries. AI's potential casts a much larger net than motorized transportation. The only industries I can see expanding is energy production because a single use of ChatGPT costs 10x more energy than a simple Google search for the same topic - but energy production is no less subject to becoming automated itself. It is easy to say "just think of a task only a human can do and AI cannot," but AI is already doing art, music, medicine, and literature. The number of available answer is quickly diminishing.
