Since the dawn of man we have created tools to make jobs easier so you don't need to be as skilled. This has reduced cost in goods and moved people to other jobs, often creating new jobs. Ultimately the end of improvements is when the human is no longer needed, ie. Automation. This shift is known and unavailable, rather then fighting against something you can't beat you need to look to a solution to your problem in that new world. The solution is universal basic income, when nobody needs to work because everything is automated the the previous system breaks down, these companies then get taxed for jobs they don't offer humans and this money gives a set income to each person to cover basic income. People can then find jobs if they want to work, not because they each money but because they want to work. This is also the star Trek future, people learn because they want to, they advance technology because they are interested not because they want money. Human made goods are still valued just as natural diamonds are still valued even though we can make flawless artificial diamonds that are superior. Imagine being able to do what you love, research what you want without having to worry about being paid? Current AI models are dumb, they connect dots on ways we don't think of but they can't go beyond the knowledge they are given, they can't think in new ways. The models currently used are massively flawed which is why some companies are moving to more physical models instead of simulated ones. Ie. Chatgpt runs one neuron at a time, the bigger it is the longer it takes. New movies physically distribute the neurons so it's insanely fast and making it bigger didn't slow it down or just makes it smarter, but it's still fundamentally limited the same flaws. Flawless AI will mimick how human minds work and is complicated, which is why they are going for these simple cheap models, though the technology will move into the human based models. Contrary to movies, it's relatively simple to align their motives with ours, simply put, we just need to create them to enjoy helping us do our work. Don't fear the future, look for solutions within it. Fighting it never ever wins.
