I have said this over the last year. AI does not need to get to AGI to be very useful and take jobs. It does not need to get to AGI to solve fusion, cure cancer, or take your job. Everyone is focused on AGI, but it is not about AGI it is about what type of WORK can it do and that is the real issue, it is starting to do real white-collar work. And if you are thinking "I AM SAFE i am a truck driver" well not for long. Or I am safe "i am a plumber" well now you have to compete with all those truck drivers and white collor people that now became a plumber.
