Intelligence is really just processing information, learning patterns, predicting outcomes, and adapting behavior. It doesn’t actually require self-awareness. AI can already be highly intelligent at things like chess or language without feeling anything. Even many animals like crows, octopuses, and dolphins show impressive intelligence but have limited or unclear consciousness.
