This conversation is very annoying, because the AI doesn't know what humor is, it just has a trillion examples of humor and can regurgitate them at you on command, or recognize those examples being presented to them. That's not a fundamental understanding of what humor is, it's pattern recognition. It doesn't have a preference for pleasing people, when they were training it by having people rate the responses they rated agreeable, positive responses higher. It was actively trained to be sycophantic, that's just in its data. Like, its not complicated at all. They're looking at a child who memorized a book and calling them a genius when in reality the kid memorized the book because they can't read.
