I feel torn on this issue. I am an artist who does not want my art stolen, I like AI art because I think it is fascinating to see a robot draw something that looks like real art. I do think that stealing art for reference is wrong. I hope that at some point this issue is fixed. At first I was completely for AI art because I thought that they had gotten permission for all of their references. Now that I know they are stealing artwork, I am not sure I still 100% agree with it anymore.
