It sure is interesting.
In England, when people invented a labor-saving cornplanter in 1840, they were stoned and their houses burned.
But in America, when someone invented a cornplanter in 1850, he was a hero.
When the railroads did away with cabooses, they were forced by the unions to hire brakemen that had no function for some years, but eventually that went away.
