They are being introduced in London at he end of the year. The streets are much more complicated than American cities and there are no Jaywalking laws in the UK. As soon as the first accident happens there will be the inevitable calls to ban them. But no one is calling for a ban on 17 year old boy racers who do stuff like doing 70 in a 20 zone. Plus when a human makes a mistake they learn from it, when an AI car makes a mistake, every AI car learns from it. People should have a choice between self driving and autonomous and let the market decide.
