It took decades for photography to be taken seriously as an artform after the invention of the camera. 🤷♂️
I would never try to sell my ai art or even post it anywhere. Mainly because I can never be sure if it is using copyrighted images in the output. And I am against the use of artitst work being used without consent.
I do spend hours or days on a single piece, getting it to where i want it to be. I start with an image or idea in my mind that I want to convey and sometimes I start with an image or photograph Ive taken to have AI augment it. When what comes out isn't near to what I want I make changes to the inputs until it's closer eventually to a point where i decide ita finished. There is one piece that I have been working on for 6 months at this point.
Personally, I dont see a difference between uaing Ai or any other tool to make an image or concept in my mind into a reality.
For fucks sakes, if a duct taped banana can be considered art why cant an image i spent weeks working on and tweaking be too? It's just a different medium.
