So, the misinformation is already being done by Biological General Intelligence and is pervasive. AI is in fact a good way to search for facts even if the information is censored then you know something is up with the side that refuses to have a logical debate. Also, if more content was = popularity then everyone would be potentially a youtube millionaire, but is not that way; your content must be popular and you must pay advertisement just to get shown amongst the other popular creators.
AI doesn't waste extra resources if the same amount of people would use other means to obtain the same functionality.
