This is all a moot point. It won't avtually matter. Once the value of human labor is reduced to nearly zero all known economic systems including capitalism will fail. All the economies in the world will fail. Everyone will be unemployed. The majority of corporations will be irrelevant. No one will have any money to spend. The new economy will likely center around the new trillionaires who control AGI and robotics and their mere billionaire buddies. With 100% automation and owning vast quantities of land and raw resources and labor now also being capital that they own they will be able to have anything they can imagine designed and built for them by AI + robots, no humans required. The ultra wealthy will trade land, resources and services among themselves. Everyone else will likely be ignored (aka left to stare/fend for themselves). Without work there is now means to buy things. Without money to spend there is no economy. Besides the wealthy already already own most of the land and resources, after AGI they won't have any need for the common fold anymore. So why fund UBI?
