I can see him having an actual case, if the TRAINING MODEL/DATA was what he was trying to protect.
that shit actually takes time and effort to get down. its how you make hands show up correctly, or to make those half people stop spawning in. you have to manually set up parameters and fine tune the exact interpretations of prompts.
and that was just to make those hidden images. IDK how much actual effort would go into setting up an AI to run like art, but to make it make memes, well that takes a few hours of setup. but once its setup, anyone can do it. him seeking to legally protect what is basically his version of an art machine, well that would be his actual IP
