Krystal, when a company releases a new device, they can either say its 'novel' and go down one (more rigorous) regulatory path or file what is called a 510K which says 'I'm the same as them'. Companies seem to be saying that if I had segmentation or localization using algorithm 'A' before and now I use algorithm 'B' the device is substantially the same. Is that ok? well if the quality and accuracy data are the same or better, maybe it is. Thanks for doing this story.
