Personally, I will always be more inclined to believe consiousness
Humankind will build AI in it's own image, for all the flaws and benefits that comes with, but true AI, that could be truly alien to us, impossible to comprehend or relate to on many levels, but still *life*.
I'm not worried about an evil machine-mind that wants to destroy us,
