Y’all are vastly underestimating the amount of input data it takes to train a neural network capable of creating art. This is a computers version of seeing what other people have made and then doing a version of its own. That is what humans do implicitly.
Artists are upset that AI is a competitor, which is a fair concern, but pretending that it’s stealing for an “artist” to take inspiration is unfaithful
It doesn’t steal art or copy any one persons style. It observes art tens of thousands of people have made and then forms it’s own creation somewhere between all of them.
