The last thing I saw was artificial intelligence in an automated cat litter box that uses a camera to determine which cat went to the bathroom. I mean, the same toilet of the past model did the same thing, just on a larger scale, so what's the progress? Ah yes, the whole new price is 300€ more expensive.
AI is now being shoved everywhere as the technology of the future, but it's the same "smart" devices that have existed for the last 10 years, only now with AI instead.
The places where AI actually does something and helps are so specialized that it's literally the same low-paying job - it's cheaper to hire a couple of people from a disadvantaged country than to spend money developing technology in that area and getting it to something worthwhile.
All that makes the short-lived NFT different is that anyone can dabble with AI pictures and make a new wallpaper for their phone, and they don't have to work hard to figure out how to do it.
