if people are strongly basing their work on yours, whether they're using an ai or not, i think you have every right to say please cease, in any way you can. you're really just protecting your images, like a watermark or any other method of protecting electronic files does- seems entirely reasonable to me. pity nightshade can reduce the quality of the image for the observer/genuine enjoyer tho
