When you mention "Trillions of connections" the AI has, vs the the human brain that has several times that, it's not a matter of humans are smarter (for now) it's just AI is a lot more efficient. with what it has. Humans have poor memory organization, a lot of neurological paths in the human brain are redundant. We forget stuff all the time, and we lose brain cells as we age.
