I think the main problem is that an AI generated picture can create something that clearly took from another artist without giving credit and without the person using the AI knowing who to give credit to.
Theres a whole debate on what is "stealing" and "copying" so I wont get into that. But taking copyrighted pieces, and even watermarks being removed, that actually should face legal legibility.
