One thing about the AI issue that gives me hope is that the people pushing it are pushing it in the same manner they did with NFTs and crypto, both of which are baldfaced scams. I saw a tweet claiming that AI will soon be used to produce AAA video games, which tells me that this grift has entered the aggressive grifting phase. It tells me that AI as it is being sold to us is a modern form of snake oil, a "miracle cure" that isn't what it's cracked up to be.
