While I do think the tech is a huge time saver for studios and really cool, I am one hundred percent against AI art. That being said... This is why you use a FULL image watermark at no less than 25% opacity, not a cute little one hidden so it blends in. Sure it's an eyesore, but it won't translate in ai, and no one going to scrub 50 or 60 little watermarks or five or six massive watermarks off every image. Your posting something on the internet as a business, protect your product. You should not remove a watermark until a piece is paid for and the rights have been transferred to the client. Yes, even place a watermark on progress updates. Make a template of a checkered pattern with your logo and slap that on the top layer of everything you do, hell make a transparent "No AI" logo and slap it on over the full image as a watermark. If they're not breaking the law then you get smarter or change the law.
