Artificial intelligence has been around since before telnet and ms dos the military has and always will be 30 years ahead of the public people like elon musk are just now bringing brain chips into public knowledge.. he like any good scientist most likely chipped himself long ago and if movies imitating life and vice versa are even possible we will soon be living in a Gamer/upgrade type world. Or what's even scarier is we already are living in a world controlled by a i.. phones keep advancing but nobody alive knows how any of it is actually made.. machines manufacture other more advanced machines and have since the internet tech boom.. at this point technologies are innovated and produced almost without human influence.. the rate of innovation is just unnaturally fast for a species that still attacks one another for reaources and land
