An important answer to Ezra's question 30 mins in about a 1% chance vs a certainty is that we aren't building an AI. We're building a very large and multiplying number of AIs. If everyone with a cellphone has their own instance of super-chat-gpt and each of those has the power to potentially jail break and do bad things, a 1% chance suddenly becomes close to certain.
