What I dont understand is, why radiology specifically? Like why aren't people worried about AI replacing pharmacists, PCPs, Heart Failure Cardiology, Diabetes Endocrinology, PAs/NPs or even ED? So much of medicine is algorithmic, "bread and butter" stuff. If you have the technology to read imaging data then you have the technology to read basic labs, ekgs and salient features in a H&P. So much of radiology is correlating the image to the clinical picture of the patient it just doesnt seem possible that AI could *replace* the physician.
The only reason people have been saying this about radiology for a decade now is because radiology is driven by and interested in innovation. This is only going to help.
