The government will need to implement legislation on this. This will hit the economy hard as it propagates. Currently, tax advantages are saved for businesses. AI will increase profits but those profits will not contribute taxes as a wage earner would contribute taxes. AI cannot currently pay taxes and there is no guarantee that those who lose jobs will be able to find a job. Let alone a job that pays similarly.
