Google built one in The Dalles Oregon. It was right across the river from Dallesport WA where I was living. The base range noise from it drowned out most of the natural river and wild life sounds and dulled even the freeway noise from across the river. The lights were on all night too which made it brighter than all of the rest of the town of The Dalles. They also had 24 hour in house guard service patrolling the grounds and shining their lights across the river at regular intervals at night.
