Ai art is *technically* art, yeah, in the sense that its turning your imagination into a physical thing, but ai “artists” are *not* artists, because a huge part of being an artist is having the skill expression to create your own work in your own styles, not just type in a prompt the same way everyone else does. Being an artist takes time and dedication, unlike using ai.
