It's not messy, it's definitely the same as how humans are inspired by other artists. In other forms of art we see it all the time. Music is pretty blatant about it and they even straight up copy paste the data with sampling, remixes, and covers. There will always be a place for art created by humans. The only real issue is people not being honest about ai art. I make ai art but I don't consider myself an artist. I'm just a muse for the ai artist, giving it an idea to create. Anyway people need to stop complaining about ai art. Ai/robotics are coming for all our jobs. What we really need to focus on is restructuring our socioeconomic systems so we don't have a few ultra wealthy people who own all the ai and robots while everyone is left to suffer in destitution.
