Raw LLM Responses

This is a TOUGH one for me. I'm an artist myself, and I've been making a game since December 2012, starting with the story. Originally it was going to just be a novel, but then I took art classes, including graphic design, and it's gone from there. Fast forward to about 2023: my game is basically the textbook definition of Scope Creep; and I have 2 choices, 1) Severely eviscerate the story, music, and visual content until it isn't my game anymore, or 2) Use generative AI to fill in the blanks. I refuse to use anyone else's name in a prompt, etc. Instead, I show it the art for my OCs, etc., I've already made, show it some similar animation styles (it's a 2D game so basically here's my OC sprites, please make them jump, tumble, somersault jump, etc, with 32 frames of animation from start to finish for each move). I'm feeding it my own original sprite based artwork, but my work is still inspired by my favorite games from the 1990s, so am I plagiarizing? Sometimes I feel that way, but I know I'm not, at least no more or less than anyone else who draws OCs in the general 'anime style' plagiarizes Tezuka Osamu. I'm not ROM hacking, nor am I re-coloring others' sprites or copying their animations or anything. They just have a similar look and feel. So do the physics. It's because it 'works' and 'feels right'. Know what I mean? I am NOT condoning prompting specific artists or any of that. But I HAVE gotten more done since early 2023 than the previous decade combined, and it is likely going to be the difference for me between a game being finished at all or not.
